Bailey Road Park has received the 2026 USTA Outstanding Facility Award. Troy Fitzsimmons, Director of Cornelius Parks & Rec. was on hand Sept 14 with LNTA representatives JD Weber, Amy Brandon, Beth Krogstie, and Scott Smith, as well as other members of the community to unveil the new sign designating this achievement. As Troy noted, this is “truly a team award” between Cornelius Parks & Rec, LNTA, Modern Strike Tennis Academy and Bailey Middle School. These strong partnerships will ensure the continued growth of tennis programming in the Lake Norman area.
