Welcome to the BRAND NEW LNTA Tennis Ladder!

Thank you for choosing to play in an LNTA Ladder. We have many Ladders to choose from — Men’s & Women’s Singles and Doubles, and a more social Coed Doubles option. Play in as many as you like! There’s something for everyone.

The Spring season will run for 8 weeks. Match format will be best of 3 sets, with the 3rd set being a 10-point tiebreaker.

Singles Ladder Info

Our Singles Ladder will use a “bump” format, where lower-ranked players that defeat a higher-ranked player will take their spot. The losing player will then “bump down” one spot. Players will only be able to “challenge up” 3 spots.

The top 4 players in each of our Singles Ladders will advance to a playoff round the weeks of June 10-June 26. The top 2 finishers will receive prizes.

Doubles Ladder Info

All of our Doubles Ladders are set up as “individual doubles.” This allows you to play with more than one partner, offering flexibility in scheduling matches. Of course if you have a partner you like playing with, you can both sign up for the Ladder, and then team up to propose matches. When setting up a proposed match, you will be able to select the players that are available to play and send out an open invitation for anyone to sign up. Example 1: John & Mike want to play together and can make a proposed day/time/location to try to find other players for a match. Example 2: John is available to play at a certain day/time and needs to find three others that are available so sends out a proposal. Once four players are matched up, they will receive a notification that they have a match!

The benefit of setting it up as “individual doubles” is that it offers a tremendous amount of flexibility — you aren’t trying to find a day/time that works for 4 set players.

Coed Social Doubles Info

The Coed Social Doubles works the same as the Doubles Ladder, but it is gender neutral, so any combination of players can play a match.

The Doubles Ladder is set up on a points system, where you will receive the following:

  • All players in a match will receive 2 points
  • Players that win a set will receive 1 point
  • Players who win the match will receive 5 points
  • If a match goes to a 3rd set tiebreaker, all players will receive 2 points
  • Players winning in straight sets will receive 1 point.

The top 2 finishers in each of our Doubles Ladders will receive a prize at the conclusion of the season on June 9. (Prizes will be dependent on the number of players in each Ladder.)
