Jana Ritter has earned both the USTA NC & USTA Southern Educational Merit award. These awards are presented to “an individual who has developed an outstanding tennis initiative, provided leadership and inspiration in junior programming for schools, colleges, parks, or playgrounds, and directly benefited the growth of the game.” She has “introduced more than 150 participants to tennis through programs like Try Tennis, Try Match, and Rally Rookies” and helped launch Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools’s first public middle school club tennis program at Bailey Middle School.
