“Mixed Up Dubs” Social League – New Format!
The inaugural season of Mixed Up Dubs was such a blast, we’re mixing it up even more in year 2 — new format, same night, more fun! This is a SOCIAL League — no winners, no prizes, just bragging rights. Let’s bring the tennis fun to FRIDAY NIGHTS! This is perfect for Mixed Doubles teams who want to continue into the fall, as well as those who’ve never tried it but would like to see what Mixed Doubles is all about. It’s also perfect for couples!
What’s different this year?
- You can play a match with only 4 player (2 men and 2 women).
- You’ll start the match playing a Women’s and a Men’s Doubles line, followed by “mixing it up” with 2 Mixed Doubles lines.
- Scoring will be 8-game pro sets
- If you’re tied at 7-games all, the next game wins. No tiebreaks. The match winner is determined by the total games won.
And just like the old days, all levels allow a 1-point rating differential. Ex) a 3.0-rated player can play with a 4.0-rated partner. Your home club is still an option (get their permission first, please!) but we’ve got a party going on at Bailey Road Park, with all 12 courts available! Home teams here will be limited to the first 12 teams that meet the roster minimum, so create your team early and get your players registered to guarantee your spot! Other public courts are also available for your team.

Key Info
- Matches will be played on Friday nights at 6:30PM.
- All teams will be in the 18 & Over age division.
- Roster size is limited to 16 players.
- Flights will get 8 matches.
Rating Levels Offered
The following USTA Rating Levels are offered for the 18 & Over age division:

- 2.5
- 3.0
- 3.5
- 4.0
- 4.5+
- 1 point rating difference is fine. Must play at ratings level of the highest-rated player. Ex: A 3.0 female and a 4.0 male must register for a 4.0 team.
***USTA Membership is NOT required; however, if you aren’t a USTA Member, then all you’ll need to do is create a FREE USTA account and Self-Rate. We can help you! Just reach out to one of our League Coordinators and they’ll make sure you’re good to go!
Cost – Player registration is $32.15 ($20 Local League fee, $9 State Head tax, and a $3.15 Tennis Link fee).
If you are the captain and you’re trying to create a team online, click the button below. Login to your USTA account, and then select “Online Team Creation” on the right side of the page under the Help Section. Follow the prompts to select the area, flight, and home courts for your team. A team # will be generated in the process. You’ll send your players this team #, which they will enter when they complete player registration.
Format
Scoring is 8-game pro sets, no tiebreaks. If you’re tied at 7-all, the next game wins. Each match will feature 2 courts played simultaneously for two rounds:
- 1 court of Men’s Doubles
- 1 court of Ladies’s Doubles
Followed by:
- 2 courts of Mixed Doubles
Matches can be played with as few as 4, and as many as 8 players. If you use 4 players, it would mean all players would play both rounds.
Flexible Makeup Matches
Rained out? No problem! Schedule the makeup on your own to be played on any day both Captains agree upon within 2 weeks of the final scheduled match.
