Vicki Weber led her 55+ 4.0 team all the way to the USTA National Championships! Sectionals were held June 27-29 in Auburn, AL. The team played MS, SC, GA, and LA in regular play and finished 2nd out of 8 teams. In the Semi’s, they edged out TN in a match TB on the deciding court. In the Finals, they played LA again, but the victory could not have been more thrilling. Courts were split 1-1. On the deciding court, Christy Bolick & Deirdre Bolter, were down 6-9 in a match TB and in a heroic fashion, fought back to win it 15-13! What a comeback! The Ladies will represent Lake Norman, North Carolina, and the Southern Section Nov 7-9 in Scottsdale, AZ. The team includes: Christy Bolick, Deirdre Bolter, Helen Bugg, Jennie Carruth, Leslie Gimbel, Becky Heflin, Lori Helms, Lisa Kachulis, Beth Krogstie, Nathalie Naslund, Leila Riccardelli, and Shaun Simmer.
